You seem very defensive right off the bat, like you're assuming we all hate her and will therefore hate the name. Chill out, whatcha yelling for? Lay back.
First off, I like Avril Lavigne well enough so she doesn't put me off the name. If anything, she's made me like the name a little. I don't think I'd ever use it though because the association is way too strong (especially where I'm from - Canada).
