It's a nice name but when I see/hear it I think of the video game/book charater Galen Marek (aka Starkiller) from Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

I love the sound of Galen, Gay is not a great nn these days but you could easily use the nn Len or use no nn.

I love it! It has sterling ancient pedigree, but it sounds modern and wearable.

It's okay, a bit stuck up sounding. I knew a little blond haired boy named Galen once, his siblings were Jevin (b), Jaylin (g) and Sheldon (b). It worked on him but I'm not really sure I like it much. Don't like the "gay" sound at the beginning, the sound sort of sounds a bit feminine too (I know a lady named Gaye).
