Re: Daphne & June
in reply to a message by Effie
I'm neutral on Daphne. I like it on paper, and it does make me think of the beautiful fragrance of Daphne flowers. But I'd never use it, because I associate the sound "DAFF" with the idea of stupidity, and I wouldn't want it in my own name. I don't think I'd really notice it in YOUR kid's name, though.Daphne Helen is a nice combo. Helen brings out the Greek in Daphne.June is a longtime favorite of mine. I don't watch Honey Boo Boo so I don't know what you're talking about there - and I wouldn't hesitate to trust others to also not watch it, and not know what you're talking about. So that makes no diff to me. None of the Junes I've known have made me think it is a Honey Boo Boo type name, anyhow.I like it with Catherine, Frances, and Rosanna.June Meredith
