Eve
Eve has really grown on me as have other simple names like Mae, June and Fay. I'm getting a little sick of names ending in an -a sound. There are just so many of them in the top 100. Even though many think of them as dated or boring, I now vastly prefer Eve over Eva, Adrienne over Adriana and Emmeline over Emma. What do you think of Eve? I think Evie is cute as a nickname.

I really like Eve and Evie. They're fairly fashionless but not generic.
I can't stand Evelyn (old man name) and Evangeline (proselytize me), and I don't care for Eva (how "eva" do you say it, anyway? It seems always to be after some Eva Glamborzigoriova).
I usually prefer the non-"-a" endings, I think. Sophie, Isabel, Emily, Claire.
The ones I do prefer with -a are Alisa (anything but Alice), Lydia, Anna, Audra, Julia. Not a fan of Emmeline.
I think I like Adriana more than Adrienne because Adrienne sounds like a boy name when you say it out loud IMO.

This is my best friend's name so I may be a little biased. But I really like it, as a name in it's own right and as a nickname for Evelyn or Evangeline. I dislike Evie as a full name but think it's alright as a nickname. At the moment I've got it as a mn in one of my top combos - Natasha Eve - honouring my friend. :)
