Sabbath
Yesterday I met someone named Sabbath (middle name Faith). She's about 18-19 years old.
I'm really not sure what I think about it. I like the obvious biblical association, and it sounds soft and strong to me at the same time, but I don't quite like how it looks written down. (And the combo sounds too lisp-y for me).
WDYT?

Too religious for me. If it was just Sabbath, I would actually guess that the parents had a weak spot for Black Sabbath! Sabbath is nms, but I actually kind of like Sabbatine and Sabbathday (although I would never use them for real!)

One of the Nigerian football players in the AFCON tournament has the given name of Sunday. And Ramadan is used as a given name among Muslims. Day names happen.
I don't find it attractive at all, but then I generally don't like word names and I've got no particular affection for Sundays and Sabbaths. What would it shorten to - Sab? Sabby?

I don't like it,it sounds like the parents are either Christian fundamentalists or Gotic-y people.
Lispy, way too religious and for all that, I feel like asking if her parents were Black Sabbath fans :P
I'm the opposite to you. I think it looks cool written down and kind of not great said aloud.

Yikes. Not my cup of tea. The combo has terrible flow, not to mention that it's just too much. Sabbath with a more secular middle name (or even a more subtle religious middle name) could be cool, but this is just corny.
My opinion doesn't count though, if I met someone named Sabbath, my first though would probably be that her parents must be metalheads ;-) So I guess the super religious middle name is necessary to help heathens like myself keep it straight.

Sabbath does have a neat sound, but it's too weighty for me.
As for the whole combo...wow. It's too much. It's like getting smacked with the bible.

HOLY COMBO. Religion overload. Do not like.
If I didn't know what the word "Sabbath" meant, this name would remind me of both Sabrina and names like Ashtoreth, making it sound sort of ancient and maybe witchy.
Too overdone for me as a combo. Even by itself, Sabbath is just too much for me.
