Dutch abdication names
Queen Beatrix of the Netherlands is abdicating in favor of her oldest son Willem-Alexander, but this is a pretty common practice, I guess. Her mother abdicated in favor of her, as did her grandmother. I thought the Dutch royal names might be refreshing after the lovely, but often used Edward-Henry-Anne-Mary-and-Elizabeths of the UK.*info from Wikipedia, apologize for any mistakes and the lack of accents---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Wilhelmina Helena Pauline Maria, Queen Regnant of the Netherlands

A nice change of pace indeed! I love the British royal names too, but these are fabulous. I don't have the energy to go through every one and gush. My tippy top favorites if I had to are Maxima Ines and Bernard Leopold Friedrich Eberhard Julius Kurt Karl Gottfried Peter (did they break the baby name book with that one?) Too, too fun.You should put some of these in a poll or two. I'd love to see the reaction among the voters over there. Keep them simple like "Eloise Beatrix" and "Nicoline Milou" and I bet you'll get a pretty good response. At least I hope so. Thanks so much for sharing and re-energizing my nerdy brain.

SixtoI just saw one of the best documentaries: Searching for Sugarman. The artist's name is Sixto Rodriguez. I'd never seen or heard of it before. And now you've got it here. Is it a form of Sixtus? How to the Spanish pronounce it? The movie made it sound like "SEESH-to," but I would have thought it was more like "SEE-to." Do you know? Is there a feminine form? Just curious. Thanks.
