I love it, and I pronunce it soh-FROH-nee-ah, with the "frow" sounding like "throw." Sophronia's a bit scary-sounding and old-fashioned, but in a really good way--Sophronia could be the lead singer in a goth band just as easily as she could wear high collars and argue against women's suffrage. :D

I think that if I had a Sophronia, she'd get called Fifi sometimes, and Sofa / Sopha sometimes. Frona isn't a bad nickname, or maybe Fronie. I think she'd become a Frowny when she was being moody. ;)
