Which do you prefer alexander is a little over used but do you think Alexandre looks too much like a misspelling

I can't see the point of using a French spelling if you are going to stay with an English pronunciation. Are you?

I suppose it depends on where you live. I could maybe see Alexandre in Louisiana, since there is a big French influence there. Alexander isn't that common where I am. The only ones I know (2 or 3 of them) are adults in their late teens/ twenties.

Exactly.It would be Alexandre where I live, with the French pronounciation.

I love both, but I pronounce them differently. I don't think that Alexandre looks like a misspelling, but if you plan on pronouncing Alexandre just like Alexander, I would stick with Alexander. I think of the French pronunciation when I see Alexandre.
