Boring and unimaginative, just like it has been in previous years. It's depressing that these names are considered the crème de la crème (otherwise they wouldn't be in the top 20, of course) by our fellow countrymen.

Indeed. A little more imagination would be welcome. Especially the top names are a bit boring.
It's only at the bottom of the top 50, I'm starting to see some nice ones for the boys, and for the girls a little earlier.
