Shalmain Violet... thoughts?

I like the Violet part, but I don't know enough about Shalmain to have much of an opinion. If I'm pronouncing it correctly, it reminds me of Charmaine, which I think is okay but NMS. Shalmain also has kind of an Irish or Welsh look to it. My guess is that it probably isn't, though.

Pronounced the way it looks: shall main? Yikes. Does it have some positive history or association, please!! Somebody please defend it, I'd love to not just think it's hideous.

I have no idea, and I don't know how to ask... aha

Violet is OK. Shalmain is horrible. Makes me think of Swedish comic character Skalman (litterally, "Shell Man"), who is a turtle.

Charlemagne ...? Well, at least Violet is a nice name.

What's Shalmain? And how is it pronounced?
Violet is rather nice, though.
(Hmmm, for some reason Shalmain makes me think of "shall remain". "Violet shall remain"? Hmmm.)
