Arabic names???
Trying to help a friend out! She is having a baby in May of 2013, not sure what she having yet. The father is arabic and the mother is American. Can you please give her some name suggestions for both genders that can work in the states???
Their last name starts with an J.Thanks

Tell them to look on here at the Arabic names! It depends on what style of Arabic name they would be after. There are some lovely ones though.

Good names!My husband's both grandmothers were named Jamila; perhaps it was the Emma of the time. :-)He also has a cousin named Shahrazad.

Fabulous. I've always loved the "meel" sound in names and Jamila also has the added bonus of a soft "j" sound too. It's music to my ears. Nn Mimi would be so cute for a Jamila.Shahrazad actually exists? I thought it was a GP. Wow. Neat! I used both Jamila and Shahrazad on one of my polls today. I'd be very pleased if you were to vote in them. :-)

Abeer, it means fragrance! This is the only Arabic name I know because I go to school with a girl name Abeer, and her family was originally from Palestine!
