I think it was killed by the myth. Much like you probably wouldn't name your child Oedipus, I don't think his ill-fated mother is much of a namesake either. I also don't think it looks or sounds particularly nice, even as a middle name. Sorry, it's just not my style.

A little depressing. And it makes me think of the word "disgusting" and the Swedish word "kasta" (to throw; sometimes meaning "to throw away").
