Vada

I prefer the Veda spelling (less likely to bring Vader to mind), but do like the name and "My Girl" is a positive association, also where I heard the name. I pronounce Thea as "THEE-uh" so, yes, I think Veda works with it rather well. Some ideas...

With the pronounciation, all I can think of is Darth Vader from Star Wars. I don't think it could work. Sorry!

I love Vada, I personally slightly prefer Veda though. Either way it's the same name, it's probably my first or second favorite girl name, depending on the day. I really love the sound, I could say this name a million times over and over again and never get sick of it.
I too first heard it on my girl, it made me fall in love with it.

I met a baby girl named Vada (named after the character in "My Girl") a month or so ago, and I thought it was really cute. The Veda spelling might go better with Thea as a sibset... however, with Veda you then have the terrible association with the daughter from "Mildred Pierce" (who is a total narcissist).
I like Veda. My first reaction is that it is too close to Thea, but I guess it depends on how you pronounce Thea.
