That's a relief!
I've never liked Nova. I know many people think first of astronomy or the PBS show, but I always think of cars. To me, it's too much like naming a kid Chevette or Gremlin.

I prefer Nova Patrick. My sister had a classmate in middle school whose brother was named Nova. I always felt that it was an awesome name. I prefer Nova for a boy than for a girl. Probably in part because the only Nova I've ever met was a boy.
Noah Patrick is also cute but nms. :)

Oh, I rather liked Nova.(I'm from Nova Scotia.)
Well, we're always complaining about boy's names on girls. It was bound to happen eventually.
Nova isn't terrible. It doesn't sound especially feminine because the -a ending, but there are worse names he could have been given.
& I kinda' like it. I would never use it, but for someone else's kid it's not the end of the world.

This. It's not terrible, just a bit unusual.
Wonder if anyone will call him Super?
Nova is too feminine for my taste, but I like Patrick. Congrats on the baby!
