All I can think of is Lavvie, which used to be a euphemistic nickname for a toilet until the advent of loo. So, no. The flower is wonderful, but the lavatorial connection isn't.

It doesn't really sound like a human name to me. It sounds like a good name for a rabbit to be honest.

Lavender is definitely my fave color. As a name? Sure, why not? It sort of rolls off the tongue. I can't really think of any nns I like, though. Avvy? Like Abby? I think that might be confusing.

Lavender is really beautiful! I'm not good at nicks, but I can try to make some combos:Anna Lavender
Emma Lavender
Esmé Lavender
Lavender Coraline

I like it, although so many things are lavender-scented that I've started to associate the word with the scent almost more than the flower :(
I like Lavender "Avvy", although I'd use "Avy" or "Avie" or something. The double v looks weird, like Awy but not, and also I've seen 'avvy' used a lot as a cute form of 'avatar' (like those little pictures on a forum).

Aw, that's quite sweet. I never would have thought of it, but I would definitely "aw" if I ever met one. Avvy sounds nice as a nickname. Vinni or Vindi could also work. Lav/Lavvy, I guess, since nobody really uses "lavatory" anymore.

I love Lavender as a middle name. It's okay as a first name as well, but I would only use it in the middle spot.I dislike Avvy as a nickname. If I went with any nickname, I think it would be Liv.

I've just been playing with Lavender. I've had Lavender Maeve as a GP for a long while. I've been enjoying "v" sounds in names, it's a favorite color, and I get visions of lavender fields. I definitely like it as a middle name, not sure about a first. Haven't come up with any NNs. "Avvy" makes sense. Haven't seen "Matilda".Lavender Alice
Lavender Gwen
Lavender Nina

Lavender Kate
Lavender Ailsa
Lavender Beatrice
