Devery.
Okay, so I was watching the 1981 film "Taps" last night and discovered that the film was based on a novel written by Devery Freeman (1913-2005), a (male) prolific (screen)writer for films and television.Never having seen the name Devery before, I thought it was pretty intriguing. It seems like a cross between Devon (or Devin) and Avery, both of which are names that are pretty popular in the USA. So how does Devery hold up to you, e.g. when compared to the popular aforementioned names? Would it be a fresh alternative to those? If not, why? And is there a gender in particular that you would like to see this name on, or do you think it's perfectly fine for both genders (i.e. unisex)? Also, this Devery Freeman had an older brother named Everett Freeman (1911-1991). I thought that made for a rather distinguished sibset, Everett and Devery. Especially if you consider that they were born in the '10s of the previous century, it makes the sibset seem even more handsome. It's just got this old stylish feel to it, if you see what I mean. ;)Anyway, I'm curious to hear everyone's thoughts. Thanks for your input. :)
