I like it. It's a nice, simple name.
I like Nina. It's simple, and easy to say and spell. It also sounds very youthful but can fit any age very well.
The one bad association I have with Nina is in those books (I can't remember the name of the series) where they have a two-child law, and all third children have to take on fake identities, and one of them complains that her new identity "Nina Idi" sounds like "Ninny Idiot". I don't know why I remember that scene from a series I read so long ago! But I don't think most people will think of Nina-->Ninny since the "i" sounds so different.

The "nee" sound at the beginning isn't my favorite, but it's a decent name. Sometimes, Nina annoys me, and other times, I like it. I appreciate its simplicity and how it isn't overly popular, though.

I've always really liked Nina. I prefer it as a nickname but I think it's fine on its own too. I like how orange it is. I've never been able to find a lot of combos I really loved with it. Years ago my favorite was Nina Bernadette, which just was meant to be together for some reason. I think it's okay still, but now I'd say my favorite is Nina Bronwen (and I also love the reverse).
Nina Bernadette is wonderful! It does have a great flow and a spunky feel to it that I really like. Yellow, orange, and red with bright patches of blue. :)
Nina used to be my favourite name and I still rate it highly - I don't think of anything or anybody when Nina is mentioned and I like it for the same reasons as you.

It makes me think of Black Swan too, but that could be because I obsessively hate the film, and the main people involved (Darren Aronofsky, Natalie Portman). That ruins the name for me. If you have no problem with the movie, I'd say you have no reason to worry. Is Tyler forever associated with Fight Club for you? Not for me.
I agree that it works well internationally (surely it would be pronounced exactly the same everywhere!). And it is nice n simple.

Ahhh, see, I adore that movie. The character is just so nuts, though! Reminds me of all of my issues, haha, if I'd let them get to that extent.
