I agree with you on
Romeo and
Juliet. I've met a few people named
Juliet, and as far as I know, they didn't have problems because of their name.
Juliet is close enough to
Julie,
Julia, and other related names and is used regularly enough that it doesn't seem out of the norm.
Romeo, on the other hand, is more distinct. I once met a man named
Romeo who was from the Philippines. I don't know if he was teased because of his name, but coming from another culture, maybe not. I haven't met any other people named
Romeo. The rest have all been pets.
