Rosalie

I love Rosalie. I think it's beautiful.
I tend to associate it with St. Rosalie rather than the Twilight character, since I live in a heavily Sicilian area and St. Rosalie is revered by many Sicilians. (That explains why Rosalia is such a common name in Sicily.)

Rose will always be my favorite Rose name and my favorite way to get to Rosie, but Rosalie is adorable and elegant. I like it quite a bit.
I don't think naming a child Rosalie would make you seem like you're a huge Twilight fan who named a child after a character. The tie between the character and the name just isn't that absolute and exclusive. For me, the only names terminally tied to Twilight are Renesmee and Cullen.

I love the name Rosalie! It's one of the few old-fashioned names that doesn't sound like it belongs only on a great-grandmother. I think it's the -lie ending that keeps it sounding young. I did read the Twilight books back in high school, but I don't immediately think of the character when I hear this name.
On a side note: The Twilight books have a ton of great names (Rosalie, Jasper, Alice, Emmett, Ephraim, Esme, Carlisle, Laurent, Charlotte, Irina, Alistair, Siobhan, Caius, Felix...). Other than Bella and Edward, I don't think too many people would associate such names with the book.

I've never read or seen Twilight so I can't legitimately have an opinion on it, but to be honest it drives me crazy that Rosalie is now a "Twilight name!" It's my great-aunt's name and I've thought it was pretty since I was a little kid. She goes by Rosie. I only associate it with her, and I'd consider it as a middle name after her too.
And funny story, my brother and SIL have friends with two little girls named Evelyn and Rosalie. The Rosalie I mentioned above is my grandma's younger sister, and my grandma's name is Evelyn. Craziness.

I've never read/seen Twilight, so my mind wouldn't go there at all. For me, Rosalie is just a beautiful and classy name with a sparkle about it. I love it. :) Rosie is a great nickname. Love it so much that even my ex-fiance hasn't ruined it for me. :P Rosalie has enough usage outside of Twilight that I think you're fine. Renesmee is a different story.
LMAO.
I am reading Twilight now. And really isn't that bad of an association.
I love the name Rosalie. It is in my PNL and high on my middle name list.

Yeah me too :P I have a Twilight obsessed friend and I'm sick right now. She first brought me New Moon and today she brought Eclipse :P They are easy reads and because I also have a headache and can't focus for too long they're perfect!
Do you want to kill Edward too? I can't stand him :P

They made him look a lot nicer in the movies. :(
Rosalie seems to be a very adorable name. I can associate it more of a flower more than anything else.
