Karen
What do you think of this name? Just curious.

I actually like it a lot. I used to consider it a little dated, and thought it wouldn't work on a kid, but the little girl in Outnumbered is called Karen and it really suits her character!
I think it's pretty enough. Dated, but it's easy to see why it was so popular at one time. Not for anyone who doesn't want a dated name, but otherwise, it's fine.
It's okay but nothing special.
It's fine. Not as dated as many other 50s names. But also not very exciting.
I like it. I wouldn't say I love it, but do really appreciate it for how unfrilly and short it is, two of the things I do love in a name. Also, it's so, so much better than all the Kaylinns, and Kaylees, Kennedys et al out there......
I've never liked it, and I'm not sure why. Just the sound and look, I guess, and it seems really stale and not at all ready for a comeback. Although I recently read about a Karen who would've been born in the mid 1800s, which I found fascinating because it's so 40s-50s to me. But I actually didn't know the etymology of Karen until I looked it up just now.
Oops! Meant to respond to original post.
I'm not particularly drawn to the name itself, though I do have positive associations from a childhood friend with the name. I'm also familiar with the "car" pronunciation from the movie, 'Out of Africa'. I think of it as a friendly name and I'd be pleased to meet a new little Karen, though I wouldn't choose to use it myself.
