Re: Lyle on a girl
Lyle on a girl? I wouldn't do it.
Shepherd's not that appealing. Makes me think of a dog.
Zebra? Well... how about Bunny and Puppy Dog too? :-P ... and maybe Elephant, Lion and Giraffe. There are some boys in Japan named Tora (tiger). Not too sure what's so embarassing about Robert Edward Lee (ln)... Is it RELee that bad?
ETA: ok... reading the other post made sense of why Robert Edward Lee may be a problem... but only to those who know the character.

Nah, the character referred to below was named after Robert E. Lee, the confederate general. It's a pretty unsavory namesake, given, yanno, integration and all that. (I'm actually from a Lee County, named after him. Also, this is kind of funny: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_U.S._counties_named_after_prominent_Confederate_historical_figures )I actually like Zebra more than Bunny. I just read two books featuring characters named Bunny and I just can't get into it. It's just dry. Zebra I think has a super fun sound, is really memorable and spellable, and really distinctive. I could get into it if my partner really wanted a Zebra... but I did think it was funny enough to post about.
Like, I'll never forget this girl Zebra, and I've never met her.
