I didn't like Aimee until I saw, "Wives and Daughters." One of the minor characters is a French woman named Aimee. When I heard it pronounced the French way I fell in love with it. I don't mind the Aimee spelling with the English pronunciation. I don't find it juvenile or trendy. I just prefer the Amy spelling because of Amy Robsart (sp?) and Queen Elizabeth I of England. Real life soap operas are so much more interesting to me than fictional ones.
