Re: Aimee

I didn't like Aimee until I saw, "Wives and Daughters." One of the minor characters is a French woman named Aimee. When I heard it pronounced the French way I fell in love with it.
I don't mind the Aimee spelling with the English pronunciation. I don't find it juvenile or trendy. I just prefer the Amy spelling because of Amy Robsart (sp?) and Queen Elizabeth I of England. Real life soap operas are so much more interesting to me than fictional ones.

I've never been much of an Aimee/Amy fan in general either but I'm watching "Friday Night Lights" (the series) right now and one of the actress' names in Aimee (Aimee Teegarden) and she's just so cute the name has grown on me more -it probably helps that her LN is Teegarden :)
