Re: Charlie

Whether you do or don't like Charles is not the point. People will persist in believing that his "real" name is Charles, ask for proof that it isn't, forget they asked and ask again and so on and on ... what is so bad about naming him Charles and calling him Charlie?
Once I met a Chip who was the son of Chuck and the grandson of Charlie. All three of them were Charles on the documentation. I wish I knew what happened to Chip - did he ever marry? Did he have a son?

How is NOT liking the name not the point??? Would you give your child a name you straight up disliked?
I met a Benji before who was proud that is name was just Benji, not Benjamin. He used the opportunity to prove it (by showing me his license) as a conversation starter/pick-up line so I don't see what's so damning about that

As much as I hate Benjamin, Benji by itself is so much worse. I think the only merit in it is that it could be used as a conversation starter/ pick-up line. It's way worse than Charlie by itself. It's just...so....so...bad. I'm sorry, I really am just being struck right now by how BAD Benji on its own is. *Shudder*
