I like it but I prefer simpler, similar names, such as Lily, Lila or Lillian. Lia would work as a nickname, but it's not perfect, as the emphasis is on the first L in Lilia, not the second. To be honest, I don't like Lia.

The only other problem with Lilia is that it could get confused for the more common versions (like Lily and Lila). For this reason I'd go for the simpler, commoner version, or choose Lydia.

I think that I like Lilia better because it's my niece's name. I do love them both, but now Lilia has a lovely little girl who I love attached to it!
My brother liked Lilia but didn't want her called Lili because he thinks it sounds old. So my SIL spelled it out as Lilleah to appease my brother's wish to see the "Leah" in the name. The intention was that she be called Leah as a nick name. Personally, I prefer the name spelled Lilia. And oddly enough, they don't even call her Leah, they call her Lela (prn lee-lah)...all the kre8tiv spelling for naught.

I love it. I don't find it hard to say and I went to college with a girl named that. I don't find Lia necessary, but I think it works fine as a nickname. I still prefer Lilia over Lydia.

Well... It's better than Lillian or just plain Lily (Lilia and Liliana are the only Lily names I particularly like).
That said, I prefer Lydia to Lilia.
I guess Lia could work as a nn.

I love the name Lilia, it's so feminine and sweet. Not hard to say at all imo. I don't like Lia as a nn at all, but that's just because I don't like Lia! Both Lydia and Lilia are gorgeous, but I prefer Lilia.

I like both Lydia and Lilia. Lydia is older, stronger, and braver while Lilia is younger, fresher, and a bit more delicate.
