Dino?
At the moment, I like the nickname Dino, but can't stand the name Dean. I'm looking for a usable, 2+ syllable first name that would make sense with the nickname Dino. Any suggestions? Combos, especially using any of the names from my personal list, would also be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Am I the only one who remembers....I know most everyone's first thought is dinosaurs but I actually always think of Dino Spumoni :) He was a rat-pack type crooner on "Hey Arnold!"

I think that's because Dean Martin went by Dino.

I'm sure. He was admittedly modeled after Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra

I find it slightly insubstantial sounding, but not terribly so. I prefer it as a nickname for Domenico.Combos:
Dino Kasimir / Casimir
Dino Montgomery
Dino Isaak
Dino Augustus
Dino Patrick

Dino is kind of cool, although it makes me think of dinosaurs! When I was a kid, I went to Brownie camp and one of the activity leaders was called Dino. The only full name I can think of is Domingo and even that is a bit of a stretch.

Sorry, but all I can think of when I see this name is the Flintstones... Maybe Fred or BamBam or Barnie w/ a random nn of Dino could work...

I don't think it necessarily HAS to be a nickname for anything - it could work fine on its own.I can see it working as a NN for any name ending with "-dy/-die" = Cody, Brady, Grady, Brody, Andy, Cassidy, Geordie, Bodhi, Kennedy, Rudy, Woody, etc.

Dino is used as a full name here, but I do have a relative who goes by Dino, but his full name is Bernardino.
