Pip
I'm watching the BBC adaptation of Great Expectations and I'm starting to like the name Pip for a boy. What do you think of it?
Unfortunately I hate the name Philip, are there any other names for which Pip could be a nickname?
I like Pippa for a girl as well, but it's getting kind of popular, and I think Pip is even better.

Pip is really cute! I like it on a boy.
I agree with the suggestions of Peregrine and Philo. I met a boy Piper who's around 20, and I've liked it ever since, but I think that most people have trouble seeing it on a boy rather than a girl.
I think it could be a nickname for Piran as well. Or maybe Phoibos / Phoebus?

My parrot Pippin's nickname is Pip. I think it is cute, but I wonder how it would age.
I think it's cute and energetic. On a dog I'd like it as a full name, but on a human I'd only like it as a nickname.
Pippin, Peregrin, Philo, Piper (but maybe too girly?), Philippe?
I also ilke Pip on a girl (as a nn for Philippa, Piper, etc). It's cute on a girl too and has a lot more bouncy energy than Pippa.
