Re: Antigone

This is a name my dh and I were seriously considering once. My father's nn for me when I was young was Tiggers and so I always had a thing for the name Antigone, nn Tiggers. I mentioned it to my dh who liked Antigone. When I told him the Greek story had absolutely fell in love with it. The idea of a dd named afte a woman who defied society to honor a loved one melted his heart. Plus, we both love names from mythology.
Antigone Jane is nice. Jane grounds Antigone. The nns Annie and Tiggie are super-cute. By the way, "tig" means house in Irish. Just a tidbit.
