I'm not sure. On one hand I think it's silly, on the other hand I'm used to hearing it enough that it doesn't really affect me. So I'd say it's just okay for me. I don't think the meaning is bad, it's just what makes it silly... such a random word name.I have two second-cousins on two different sides of my family named Chance, and one of them named his son Chance, too. I'm sure I've encountered at least one more elsewhere in life. So I wouldn't say it's common, but it's not obscure, either.Yes, Chance and Chase are way too close for brothers to me. In sound, look, and the fact that they're both words. I prefer Chance of the two. It's warmer and less trendy feeling. Chase is more common here. I've known at least three my age.
