One of my collegue's had a baby boy;
Malcolm.
Her friend who had her baby around the same time named her little girl:
Magnes Ransom .. (sp unknown). Any thoughts?

It's fine but I don't really like it. Magnes is weird. Ransom is weirder. Not a fan at all.

I do so enjoy Malcolm. Very nice.Magnes...well you get the cute nickname Maggie without having to use Margaret (which I despise) but that's about the only pleasant thing I can say about Magnes on a girl. And I thought Agnes was bad...

Malcolm is great! Magnes is pretty bad - I dont like Agnes at all but its MUCH better than Magnes! And Ransom is just not a good thing to be named after!!!

took me a while but I found itI knew there was a reason I liked the name. it's another name for the wild garlic. Love wild garlic, to eat and to look at .

Would it be Magnus? which is a boy's name. Magnus Ransom would be a cool boys' name, but really not fond of it for a girl. Malcolm is ok, it's a bit dated in Scotland, but nice enough. I prefer Colm on it's on. Malk of course is a killer nickname for it. ;)
