I think Abigail is beautiful, but Abbey has become quite boring... besides, it's kind of a waste of a beautiful name to shorten Abigail to Abbey. (the e thrown into the nn is unnecessary clutter too imo).
Not a fan of Gwendolyn. Abigail Michelle is kinda nice, though may be a bit heavy on the L endings for some people...
My Abigail combo is Abigail Setsuyo (on my long list), but if you're not wanting Jpns., maybe 1 of these could work...Christine / Kristine

Aw, Abigail is so wholesome and sweet. I like it. Sadly, I knew an Abbie (full name) who was horrible to me, so I could never use it myself. I prefer Abigail in full since I don't like Abbey and Gail is so dated. I knew of an Abigail who used Aila--from the last 3 letters of the name--as a nickname. An unusual nn was how her mother made peace with the popularity* of Abigail and Abby. It's not the most "natural" nickname, but it's another possiblity. Neither of your combos work for me. Abigail Michelle has too much L, and Abigail Gwendolyn has too much G. Don't really have any combos, though, so I'll think about that. *Abigail is one of those names whose popularity I have a hard time believing. Despite the fact that it's spent over a decade in the Top 25 (currently #6 in my state), I never, never meet any. Where are they all hiding???

Use to hate it, now I see it differently. I love the sound of it. Very pretty and feminine. I prefer Abigail Michelle out of your choices.

I like Abigail, but I prefer it in the middle slot, where it's a lot less expected.

I find it refreshing since I have only met two in my entire existance in life.

Love Abigail. I prefer the non-standard Abi spelling as it links better with the full name, just a personal thing.
Don't really like either Michelle or Gwendolyn but prefer Michelle. Gwendolyn is a bit too long kind of swamps the fn.Abigail is on my list with the mn Sara :)

I like Abby but not Abigail. Abby is my niece's name.I don't think either of those combos are perfect:
Abigail Michelle is too "l" heavy for me, and Michelle is really dated.
Abigail Gwendolyn - both names are nice but it doesn't flow right imo.

I love the name Abigail. My favorite middle names would be Abigail Grace or Abigail Lily. Abbey is a cute nickname but I only like the spellings Abbie or Abby. I also like Abbie as a full name too.

I like it, but not enough to use it. However I really don't care for Abbey or Abby.

To be honest I always disliked it. I never understood how it became common. My theory is that people want an Abby but find it to nickname-y and then put Abigail on the birth certficate but never call her that. It looks so ugly and I hate the gail part. Abbey is alright, I'd spell it Abby. Not really into the combos, sorry.
