I love it, and as someone who knows a Merlin, I much prefer this!

Love Emrys
I don't think they are too similar, but they are not not names I would put together for myself.

adore it!
I love both names!
I love both names!
I like it. It seems such a familiar name but it must actually be quite rare - I've never met one. I think it's fine with Rufus. They're both nice, non-boring names, who cares if they both end in s?
I really like it, sometimes more than at other times. It's very dashing. I think it's too similar sounding, but if you really really loved both then it wouldn't be that bad. The beginnings sound different so at least if you called out one name there wouldn't be confusion. Just the matchy endings.
I adore it. It's probably my all time favorite name.
Unfortunately, I do think it's too similar to Rufus. Sorry!

I really like Emrys. I think it's masculine without being overly macho-man, and very underused. However, I do think it sounds too similar to Rufus to use as a sibling. They are both two syllables and both end with an S sound.
I adore Emrys for a boy. How nice to see it being considered. It's so rare and wonderful that I wouldn't care if his brother's name was Bemrys or Shmemrys. I love it that much.
