I prefer Viola, although Violetta is fun to say. I just think Viola is prettier out of simpleness, and also more versatile.

For Viola I say vee-OH-la, but I know people who say VY-o-la. It might depend on the region. It makes me think of the instrument and the flower. Violetta is say vee-oh-LET-ta. I can't think about this name without mentally saying it in a flamboyant/dramatic voice :)

I love Viola, but Violetta made an appearance in Harry Potter.
I pronounce it Vee-oh-let-uh.

I think I prefer Violetta but Viola is close second. I really like Violet too.

I don't know how to pronounce Violetta in English but it would be vee-o-LET-ah here if that helps. I have seen it used as a fairy name in a kids movie and our neighbours' granddaughter is named Violetta. The grandmother stresses the last syllable though because she is French.

I prefer Viola assuming it's pronounced "VIE-uh-lah", not like the instrument.

Violetta is a bit OTT. It might be nice as a diminutive for Viola.

I pronounce Viola vy-OH-luh (vy rhymes with my).
I've never heard of Violetta, but I'd say vee-oh-LET-uh.
