Billie
The idea of Billie on a girl has really caught my interest lately. So WDYT? And what sort of MNs would you pair it with so that it doesn't sound so "bumpkin"

It's cute, but I prefer it as a nickname for Willa or Wilhelmina. I don't mind nicknames as full names in general, but this one seems to be lacking on its own.

Some names just need the right pairing in orer to bring out their best and work well. 1 sign of a good combo is when it can make a name that doesn't appeal to some people work really nicely even in their eyes... I think the name Roxanne in general has some sass to it, so that in the combo gives it some spunk since Billie's got some space for sass.
I can picture Billie in sort of a glamorous 30s way. For me it's hard to tear myself away from my association with my aunt... since she's the only one I've ever known, and it's her full name, not a nn. Not sure what her mn is though.
So let's see...
Billie Evelyn
Billie Josephine
Billie Eloise
Billie Fern
Billie Francine
Billie Pearl
Billie Viola
Billie Myrtie
Billie Barbara
Billie Marguerite
Billie Maxine
Billie June
?
It's hard to make a combo that makes me think of sequins and the 30s without sounding like an old lady.

I adore Billie! Would seriously consider it on a daughter, but I go back and forth between Billie as a full fn and Billie as a nn for Wilhelmina / Willa / Willow... I like them, but not as much as I like Billie.
Um not sure about getting rid of the bumpkin factor of Billie. I secretly delight in Billie Jo and Billie Jean.
