Re: What's your Swedish naming style?
in reply to a message by Malin
I got modern men normal (modern but normal). My namenerds results, for comparison, are: Your personality type is: Classic Unusual : 35%
Your personality type is: Classic Eccentric : 30%
Your personality type is: Classic Conservative : 25%
Your personality type is: Modern Eccentric. : 5%
Your personality type is: Modern Conservative : 5%
Your personality type is: Modern Unusual : 0%
Your personality type is: Classic Outmoded : 0% One says modern and the other says classic, but I think the results are actually very much the same. Both your "modern but normal" examples and the "Classic and Unusual" list at namenerds include Vincent and Oliver, two names I love.

Your different results is exactly why we felt the need for a Swedish test - Oliver for example has a different history in English and Swedish naming history. Here, it was occasionly used since the late 1800s or so, but never got popular or very normal until the 1980s, while the English history of course is much longer. Some other names with a similar history are William and Robin, which I could have used as examples as well. :)
