Don't like it. It's a verb, and I just don't think the sound is very attractive.

Love is a verb and some people use variations on that in different languages... Actually, Hope can be a verb too.

I really don't like the "way" sound at the beginning of a name - I don't care for Wayne or Duane/Dwayne, either. It's a perfectly usable name, though.

I like the fact that it's not overused... Haven't met a Wade in years... It's one that people could easily make jokes about I suppose, but it's not too bad. Just automatically makes me think of the old spiritual "Wade in the Water".

Useful with some of the longer surnames or hyphenated ones. Cowboyish in tone. I know of triplet boys named Emmett, Wyatt, and Wade.

Aww. I used to not like Wade at all until I became good friends with one (Wade Lawrence; with that first name, I had to ask the middle). Now it reminds me of him: friendly, cute, and good-natured. I like it.
