I've never heard Isla pronounced like EE-la, I've always said AY-la. I like the names, but I wouldn't use them for twins.

I think it's more European Spanish in stead of Mexican/Latin Spanish.
AY-la like a long 'a' ??? I've only ever heard Isla pronounce EYE-la, like island. I'm not even sure how you get a long A out of "is-"
