I prefer the Anglicized versions almost every time. I just can't imagine burdening my American children with names like Fionnghuala and Diarmaid when Finola and Dermot are available and so much easier to live with. Caoimhe is the one exception because I dislike the look of Keeva, and Kiva changes the name completely, but I'd probably never use it.

Brennan, Brody, Cian / Keane, Ciaran / Kieran, Cillian, Colin, Cormac, Declan, Donal, Donnell ((part of my maiden name)), Donovan, Eamon, Eoghan / Owen, Eoin, Lorcan, Mannix, Oisin, Riordan, Ronan, Rory, Rowan, Seamus, Tadhg / Teague
Ailis, Aine, Aoibhe, Aoife, Catriona, Caoilinn / Keelin, Caoimhe / Keavy, Ciara / Kiera, Cliona, Deirdre, Fionnuala, Grainne, Liadan, Maeve, Maire / Moira, Roisin, Saoirse, Sheila
In a perfect world I would have many more of these on my "usable favorites" list but in the US many would be butchered or stuffed into the "trendy spelling" list by some. So, I either have come to like the Anglicized versions or sadly have taken them off the usable list.

Most of the time I seem to prefer traditional spellings, but not on principle.
