I'm being honored again*! Sort of. My cousin and his wife are naming their soon-to-be daughter
Cathleen after a) our grandmother
Kathleen, b) me,
Catalina, and c) her sister
Kathryn. They are, however, stumped on a nickname, and they think
Cathleen is a bit of a mouthful (I don't agree, but it's their baby). Grandma goes by
Kathleen (except by the youngest kids, who call her Grandma
Lala),
Kathryn is
Kathy, and I often go by
Line (leen) or
Lina. They like Catie, but are worried about people assuming it's
Katie and short for
Katherine or even a
Kathleen with a K. Is Catie a good nickname? Or will it cause problems?
*By the way, little
Skye Catalina (BA below) is doing well and is a very smiley, happy baby.
