Georgie?
Hi guys,I've been thinking about the name Georgie (for a girl) lately, and I was wondering what you think of it? I think it's adorable for a little girl, but is it a name that ages well? And do you prefer Georgie by its self, or as a nickname? And lastly, any middle name suggestions? :)
Iris

I think Georgie is adorable for a little girl. I think it's too nicknamy to stand on it's own but I love it as a nn for Georgiana. Caroline :-)

It's okay for a nn for a youngling. Georgia is better for the fn.

I really like masculine nicknames on girls (Billie, Johnnie, Jimmie, etc), so I think George and Georgie are really nice on girls--very cute and down-to-earth.I wouldn't do Georgie on its own, then. It's too "Georgie Girl" that way, and it won't hold up so well if she becomes a state attorney or the president. ;) A full name would work better then.Georgia
Georgette
Georgina
Georgiana

I definitely prefer it as a nn, but I do think it's a great nn. :) I adore Georgia and Georgina, but there's also Georgiana, Georgianne and Georgette (which happens to be my mn :b). ~Heather~

Hi Iris,Georgie sounds very cute for a girl, but it doesn't age very well, I think. If it were short for Georgia or Georgina then she could use that name later in her (professional) life. Chloe and Georgie sound good together, they are a bit alike but not too much :)As for mn suggestions, I'm not very good at that. I have a weird taste.

I think it's rather cute, it makes me think of the little girl who played Lucy Pevensie in 'Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe". I think I like it better as a nickname for something like Georgiana, Georgia, or Georgina but it would be rather cute by itself. It needs something soft and feminine, what about one of these combos?Georgie Katherine
Georgie Frances
Georgie Margaret
Georgie Abigail
Georgie Rose
Georgie Eloise
Georgie Pearl
Georgie Madeline
Georgie Alexandra
Georgie Ariana
Georgie Elizabeth
Georgie Eleanor
Georgie Lilian
Georgie Isabel
Georgie Liliana
Georgie Annabelle
