Having grown up as a bit of a tomboy, I always wanted a masculine nickname. I really like the option. Some I like:
Mack for Mackenzie or Makenna
Ken/Kenny for Mackenzie, Makenna, Kendra, Kendall
Sam/Sammie for Samantha
Alec/Alex for Alexa, Alexandra
Dan/Dani for Danica
Jo for Josephine
Matt/Matty for Mattea

My cousin Danielle Joan is called Dani (Jo). (Her mom is Joan, nn Jo.)
I like the Disney show Good Luck Charlie, and can't imagine Teddy or Charlie with different nns. I do like Charlie better than Char. (Sorry second cousin who isn't on the board.)
Ron and Ben are too unusual as girls' nns imo.
