Errol
WDYT of this name for a boy? What type of person do you envision with this name?

Ugh, I don't like the sound of Errol at all. The "uhl" sound is ugly and unattractive. It's the same reason why I don't like names like Rachel or Myrtle. My only association with the name is Errol Flynn. I imagine the name would do well among the hipster set; it fits in with Arlo and Atticus.

Errol kind of makes me think of the owl in Harry Potter.I can't imagine Errol on a little boy, it sounds more like an old man's name. I think of a very quiet academic who spends a lot of time reading.

I envision a dirty old fat man drinking beer with a pizza on his lap. Not my favorite name.

Why do I want to like it, but just can't quite? It's kind of close to aerosol. I don't know. I just can't quite like it. Sorry. That wasn't much help!

It's okay, though not really my style.I always picture someone who looks like Errol Flynn, the actor.

It makes me think of Errol Flynn (The Adventures of Robin Hood, The Sea Hawk, etc.). I love it!

I think of owls. I think there was a owl named Errol in Harry Potter. Freaking Harry Potter.Anyways, I don't like it. It's stuffy.

I love it! It's so dashing and handsome and swoonworthy. Oh, yes.ETA: If you like the sound of Errol but are put off at all but the look of it, there's always Airril, which is pronounced the same/similar. It's a Scottish name, but the meaning seems to be unknown.

I like Errol. It's a friendly, smart, overly solemn, quirky little name. A bit unfortunate, but not enough to put me off it - just enough to make me want to hug it :)

Reminds of the Weasleys' owl. He was quite the disoriented little thing...

Error? :/Or aerosol. It doesn't make me think of a person, sadly.

If I use it, I'd actually spell it Erol. Not sure if that helps any.
