Re: Welsh BAs

I've been liking Mair more lately. Seeing it is making me think about it again. And ooh, Gwenfair is pretty. I'd imagine it's some form of Gwenhwyfar?
Do you know what Caskie is? It seems kind of silly. And Gwyndaf? I kind of like that.

I like Mair too. (I've also got a tiny crush on Mari.)
Not totally sure about Gwenfair. -fair in placenames is usually a mutated form of Mair, so I'm guessing it's possibly a Mary-homage and means blessed Mary, or something similar
No idea what Caskie is! an nn, but not a Welsh one.
Gwyndaf was an early saint.I love Gwyndaf, it's so...beardy. With a woolly hat!

Interesting about Gwenfair. I assumed Caskie wasn't Welsh, but who knows sometimes. I hope it's not short for Casket! :X
You had me at beardy with a woolly hat. I will have to ponder Gwyndaf for awhile now! And I always love me some obscure saint names.
