My Local BAs
RegalAmethyst inspired me. :) These are from March through the present, all the BAs that were different in a not-so-bad way:Girls
Becky Sue
Penny Jo Marie
Maris Alyse
Keira Fate
Charlie Sue - Are these simpler, old-fashioned-cutesy names coming back in style?
Felicity Sabina
Molly Patricia
Allison Marian Margaret
Lily Moon
Scout Lola
Samantha Berenice
Tallulah Grace - I've heard this talked about a lot, but never actually seen a real one.
Olive Antonia
Meredith Kate - totally love this one
Etta Bradford - and this
Iola AnnabelleBoys
Jeremiah Maurice
Adrian Marshall
Micah Asher
John Paul (x2)
Cian Jon
Brendan Philip
Anton Paris
Cameron Morris
Andrew Theodore
Jack Frederick
Tycho Robert
And my favorite terrible ones:
Azeakuel Octayvio - Took me a second to realize this is Ezekiel Octavio.
There was also a Lucas Maximus which made me lol.Jasmin Amerique Heavenly Bell
Aurora Brier Rose - I guess they really like Sleeping Beauty...

I like:Maris (although together with Alyse, the combo is a bit too "rhymey")
Felicity Sabina (very interesting)
Marian
Lily Moon
&
Jeremiah
Adrian
Brendan
Cameron Morris
Theodore
Tycho Robert (really cool!)Azeakuel Octayvio... they took something with the potential to be truly awesome, and butchered it... :-(
Jasmin Amerique Heavenly Bell is simply ridiculous, I agree with you.About Aurora Brier Rose: yes, the connection to the story/movie is quite obvious, but as a combo I think it's quite beautiful. Sleeping Beauty was my favorite Disney movie growing up, and today Briar Rose (or perhaps Briar by itself) is one of my favorite female names. I'll probably never use Aurora, though - looks good in print, but can be a mouthful to say.

=DGirls
Becky Sue
Penny Jo Marie -I'm shocked by Becky Sue and Penny Jo Marie. They're both so old fashioned.
Maris Alyse -Way too much S here. At first I thought it was Mary Alyse, which might have been kind of cool. Maris is nice, though.
Charlie Sue - Are these simpler, old-fashioned-cutesy names coming back in style? I don't know, but I've never seen so many old fashioned cute names in one BA list! Maybe it's something special to where you live?
Sabina
Molly Patricia -I love this.
Allison Marian Margaret -Marian Margaret would have been just fine, even though this is still really nice.
Lily Moon -Not a name I would give a person, but...I love it.
Lola
Samantha Berenice -I think my heart just stopped. Berenice in a name is perfect.
Olive Antonia -Or maybe it's this that made my heart stop. Love it.
Meredith Kate
Etta Bradford -So old movie star-esqe.
Iola AnnabelleBoys
Maurice
Asher
John Paul (x2)

lol!Either that or they want her to believe that she really is a princess.
Ugh, 'cause of the people who actually are like that. I can't stand the princessy stuff!Lucas Maximus mostly made me laugh because whenever I hear Lucas I think mucus. I don't know. Made it sound like some name from The Life of Brian or something.

I can't stand princessy stuff either. The whole princess-as-dream thing has got to be one of the biggest scams ever imposed on little girls and parents. I was never into that stuff. I wanted to be a power ranger. When I hear Lucas I think of the guy Dorothy marries on The Golden Girls. I think that makes me lame.

"The whole princess-as-dream thing has got to be one of the biggest scams ever imposed on little girls and parents. I was never into that stuff. I wanted to be a power ranger."I wasn't into being the *princess* in stories, either (and I did watch power rangers, lol). When I was little, I'd alternate between wanting to be a sorceress (like a female Merlin... so basically I wanted to be Morgana le Fay), and a Musketeer. :-)

Oh, gosh. I wanted to be a sorceress too, but not until I was about 11.
