Dahlia.

Lydia, because it's more traditional. I'd consider Dahlia trendy.

For me, Dahlia feels more eccentric than classic. I do like flower names, and Dahlia does have a nice sound, but it also reminds me of the Black Dahlia murder, I'm sorry to say.

Lydia definitely falls into the classic category for me and I prefer it to Dahlia, even putting aside Dahlia's dark association.

Love them both. I really like the dark heaviness that comes with them without being too over the top. Lydia seems like the older child to me, so I would use Lydia for a first-born girl. Dahlia seems better suited on the baby of the family. I actually don't think that they're terrible as a sibset.

I would consider Dahlia more of a classic name than a trendy one, but I much prefer Lydia.

I've never encountered Dahlia in real life, so either it just isn't used where I live (though the Hebrew Dalia is, and I like that) or it's a trend that hasn't arrived yet.

I's use Lydia, of the two, though I don't like it.

Oh Gee... That is a tough one. I think, in the end, I would choose what could create the most meaningful name for my child.
Things I would consider:
Lydia:
is biblical and a follower of Jesus
recognizable and easy to put in combos
"L" names are big right now so it may be semi popular or blend in with more popular names
means "from Lydia", which is not really significant

Dahlia:
is a perky and cheerful flower
I have a lot of family with summer birthdays and Dahlias are summer flowers
"D" isn't a popular letter right now so the name is less likely to be popular and over used any time soon.
can be spelled Dalia and then has more significant meanings...

I love Lydia. It's beautiful, classic and dignified name. Dahlia is definitely not classic. Then, I wouldn't call it trendy either. It just... is.

Dahlia's not trendy to me, but it's more creative, more stylish and sensational. Lydia is pretty conservative IMO, more sophisticated and straitlaced seeming. I like both but I would only use Lydia.

I like the way Dahlia looks and Lydia sounds. Of the two, I'd use Lydia in real life.

Both are beautiful names, but I prefer Dahlia. It's less popular and it has a mysterious feel that I love.

I don't see Dahlia as trendy at all. I wouldn't call it a classic either, though. I'd say it's neither classic nor trendy.

I prefer Lydia, but I prefer Lydia to pretty much everything, because it's my number one name. However, I do really like Dahlia and would consider it in real life. I don't think it's trendy at all, but I don't classify it as a classic either. I would categorize it as an underused floral name.

I wouldn't consider Dahlia the least bit trendy. And I choose it over Lydia, just because I think it's more glamorous.

I'd use Lydia. Dahlia isn't overly trendy, but it seems more trendy than Lydia. Does that make sense?
