Angela
I haven't really thought much of Angela before - so WDYT? Too dated? I used to like Angelina but the popularity is making me like it less these days, and I think Angela is a little more sophisticated.

I agree: Angela is much prettier and more restrained! But it's still a lot to live up to. I knew an Angela once who chose to go by Jill, which is a whole lot better than Angie.

I think it would be nice to see an Angela

I don't think of Angela as sophisticated but I do think it is a nice name. It has a common, almost plain feel to me. It is a little dated but overall I find it a good solid classic choice.

I love it. I think it has a slightly dated feel, but in a good way. It feels mature. But it's also very classic and has a great pious, motherly feel to it. That's the sort of feel I love most in a girl's name.

I like Angela. It sounds pretty.I don't think it's dated. My mom's younger sister Angela was born when the name was very popular, but she was named after her maternal grandmother (my great-grandmother). Angela is pretty timeless IMO.

I think Angela is okay, a little dated. Angelina is too frilly for me, but I do really like Angeline.
