Middle name for Myrtle
So, I'm all but certain that the majority of people here would consider naming one's daughter Myrtle to be a genuinely bad idea, but my wife and I are head-over-heels in love with this name. Try to put your revulsion aside for a moment in order to help us out. :) We're stuck on a middle name. Any thoughts? If it helps give you any idea of our naming style, our five-year-old son is named Clive Maynard. Our last name starts with an "M," is two syllables long and ends in "-er." Hit me with something I've never heard.

I don't think Myrtle is awful. I wouldn't use it myself because of the Harry Potter reference, but I don't think it's really that bad and it would go well with Clive. Myrtle Frances

Myrtle Jemima
Myrtle Alexandra
Myrtle Rose
Myrtle Christiane
Myrtle Josephine

Myrtle and Maynard may not be popular with most people but I love them! How about:Myrtle Alexandra
Myrtle Celeste (would be kinda cute with Clive Maynard)
Myrtle Eliza
Myrtle Eugenie
Myrtle Florence
Myrtle Margot (although this might be too much of an alliteration with the last name added)
Myrtle Philippa
Myrtle Sidonie
Myrtle Esmee
Myrtle Clarice
ETA: I swear I did not look at other replies before posting this list but I seem to be the third person to suggest Myrtle Clarice! Those two make a killer combo in my opinion ;)

Hm, I think Myrtle has a certain old charm to it. A very humble name, I think it would need something equally old fashioned but a bit spunkier in the middle. My first instinct was Myrtle Clementine. But for a few other ideas how about:
Myrtle Forsythia
Myrtle Clarice
Myrtle Dorothea
Myrtle Rosalind
Myrtle Phyllida
Myrtle Yvonne
Myrtle Lucinda
Myrtle Florence
Myrtle Georgina
Myrtle Isadora

Thanks!I absolutely love Myrtle Lorraine; those two names were made for each other. Unfortunately, the wife had a bad experience with a woman named Lorraine. Hard sell. :/I'd never heard Sunniva before, but wow; what a name, with a great meaning behind it.

For the record, I think the right type of girl could totally rock a name like Myrtle. It sounds like a quirky, unapologetically brash kid who marches to the beat of her own drummer. :)Since you seem to like old-fashioned names, I'll suggest some more of those:Myrtle Amelia
Myrtle Beatrice
Myrtle Clarice
Myrtle Dee
Myrtle Edith
Myrtle Fay
