The other day I made a little list of Ch- names that I enjoyed and
Charity has always been one of them. I don't think it's hokey or trite. As far as virtue names go,
Charity is one of the friendlier ones. It's not making any statements about sex or shame. I wouldn't hesitate to use it and I'm not
Christian. It's a virtue that everyone can keep in mind.
I quite enjoy these:
Charity Alice - such a pretty palette of blue and white! Like a Wedgewood cup and saucer
Charity Amabel - a natural pairing! A name overflowing with love and kindness.
Charity Anne - oh lovely. So simple and pure and just a touch somber
Charity Diana -
Diana will always be a "kind" name for me, and it sits next to
Charity so prettily; it has a lovely pale silvery-blue shine to it
Charity Eliza -
Eliza livens up
Charity's soft, docile nature. A welcome jolt!
Charity Frances - dark-and-light, it's like a sumptuous
Joshua Reynolds work. Stiff and glossy and proper
Charity Iris -
Iris helps modernize the name and lends it a pretty lavender tone
Charity Juliet - another darling purplish combo
Charity Louisa - I picture a pale pink gingham frock, and a wicker basket
Charity Martha - so sweet and domestic, a lovely calm golden brown
Charity Wilhelmina - I do enjoy this, and I wonder how you'd feel about
Charity Willa?
Charity Winifred - oh I enjoy the starchy whiteness of this, like stiff peaks of meringue.
