I think it's lovely. I've liked it since I was about 14. Some people I know have said that it sounds like an old lady's name, but it sounds fresh to me. At the same time, it also has an old-fashioned, classy vibe. It's close enough to "modern" and trendy names, such as Janelle and Danielle, to be used without too much worrying about it sounding too old-fashioned. Even if it did sound like an "old lady" name to me, I would still like it. I hope it won't become too popular because of the singer, but I imagine that it will increase in popularity at least somewhat.
