I think it's pretty. The "alien" part is fairly apparent, but that's not the first thing I thought of. My first thought was Eleanor/Elinor, and then I saw "alien" shortly thereafter. I don't think the "alien" part makes the name unusable, though. I think spelling and pronunciation problems would be more of an issue. "Alien" doesn't seem like that big of an insult to me. Growing up, people called me Alien sometimes because they thought I was weird. It didn't faze me much.
